Had a suspect bite on my leg. that had got infected. The treatment offered allowed me to get seen without having to Go to the JR A&E. and blocking valuable resources My total consultation was about 15 minutes. so job done

Communication - steady explanation. Slowly spoken, good English. Questions answered effectively.

As I waited about 2 hours to be seen, when a board showed 'approx 1 hour wait' , it would have been helpful to update waiting patients with timescale.

On calling 111 and it was ascertained that I needed to be seen at the Minor Injuries Unit, I was given an appointment time (for 4 hours later). This meant I could wait at home and not in the hospital waiting room. It was decided I needed an xray but the unit was closed as it was late evening, I was given an appointment time for the following day. On both occasions I was seen at the time stated.

The gp was very patient with my father, who is 70 and was frightened of his symptoms. Excellent service

First of all my father went up to out of hours as he was unsure what to do, he managed to walk up there, how I don’t know! But he was turned away by a receptionist in the minor injuries unit. Being turned away was appropriate as it was not where he needed to be. However, she was rude and quite irritated by my father who is 70 and was worried about collapsing due to the visual disturbances, chest pain and dizziness. She should have helped my father to get to where he needed to go or helped call 111. She said he needed to go onto the internet, my father doesn’t even own a mobile phone. Consequently he fell into the road where a kind passer by was able to get him home and contact me. It needs to be better, more thought and care should’ve been taken that day 4th May 2024

Staff very nice and helpful. Reasonably quick to be seen.

Needed to wait outside in the rain without seating area with broken ankle. Needs a waiting area before clinic opens.
